The Jaish commander was killed along with his bodyguards in a safehouse in the Astan mohalla neighbourhood of Kangan village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama. The killing of the commander — identified in police and intelligence records by the aliases Fauji Bhai, Idris, Haider, and ‘Lambu’, or tall guy — comes days after the detection of a major Jaish-e-Muhammad car bomb, the first since Kashmir’s special Constitutional status was revoked in August. Coronavirus: Two Japan cruise ship passengers die

Princess Cruises said in a statement to CNN that their hearts went out to the relatives of the two Diamond Princess passengers who died today of the novel coronavirus. The statement, offering the company's "sincere condolences," was sent after Japan's health ministry confirmed the two fatalities. There are now more than 600 cases of the coronavirus among former passengers of the cruise ship. A spokesperson for the company said that no further information will be released at this time. China releases largest study on Covid-19 outbreak

Health officials in China have published the first details of more than 70,000 cases of Covid-19, in the biggest study since the outbreak began. Data from the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CCDC) found that more than 80% of the cases have been mild, with the sick and elderly most at risk. The research also points to the high risk for medical staff. It comes as a hospital director in Wuhan died from the virus on Tuesday. The report by the CCDC showed the province's death rate is 2.9% compared with only 0.4% in the rest of the country. The findings put the overall death rate of the Covid-19 virus at 2.3%. China's latest official figures released on Tuesday put the overall death toll at 1,868 and 72,436 infections.........Read more
